Frequently Asked Questions
-
Currently, Sound Like You offers instruction in guitar, bass, songwriting, music theory fundamentals, and artist development. Lessons are tailored to each student’s goals, experience level, and musical interests.
-
Not at all. Lessons are open to musicians of all skill levels, from complete beginners to experienced players looking to grow creatively or refine their technique.
-
Most music schools stop at weekly one-on-one instruction. Sound Like You goes beyond that by emphasizing creativity, collaboration, and real-world musicianship alongside technical development.
Students are encouraged to build consistency through peer accountability, songwriting, performance opportunities, and community engagement — not just isolated practice.
Our goal isn’t simply to teach students how to play music, but to help them develop confidence, creativity, and their own artistic voice.
-
Current offerings are primarily private lessons, with plans to expand into group classes, workshops, songwriting labs, and community programs in the future. Community events are aimed to be hosted on a monthly basis as an opportunity for our students to meet likeminded musicians and expand their creative network.
-
At Sound Like You, we believe consistency and discipline are some of the most important foundations for musical growth. While every student’s goals and schedule are different, we typically recommend the All Access Pass for most students, as weekly lessons provide the structure and accountability needed to build lasting progress and confidence.
