Born and raised in central Virginia, Emma Jean Oakley is as true as they come. Raised on Waylon, Willie, and 90's K95, EJO brings the country classic sound into modernity. Juxtaposing heartwrenching lyricism with major key melodies and a hint of humor, EJO creates a sound that is earnest and playful. Out of the Richmond, VA punk scene, EJO cut her teeth touring with national acts over the last decade and released her first solo EP, Throw Me a Bone, in October 2025.
